Hi. We’re now over half way through #BlogFlash2012 as it’s Day 16 (it seems to be going so fast!). Today’s prompt is A Different World. I’m not going to introduce my piece today, I’m going to let it speak for itself. I hope you like it.
A Different World
In some ways I think everyone has ideas about how they’d like to live in a different world. Being a fantasy author, I can dream up all sorts of fantastical worlds.
A fantasy world
But right now I’m looking at the world we live in. Given the chance, I’d make our world different.
Our world
In my different world abject poverty wouldn’t exist; everyone would have enough money to live comfortably, able to pay all their bills and eat properly. Everyone would be equal.
In my world there’d be cures for every disease and no one would suffer pain.
Peace would reign; war wouldn’t exist.
Maybe I’m a dreamer (I am a writer so . . .), but wouldn’t it be great?

Lovely post; I’d change a few things too about the world mainly greed as that seems to be destroying the planet and the animals on it far quicker than anything else which would link in to your everyone being equal. But sadly I think that’s impossble . . . . . . . .Animal Farm. . . . . . Someone will always want to be on top and ‘lead’ .x

From your words to God’s ears Carlie. Unfortunately, I believe he leaves it up to us and we are just NOT getting it.
I know, Donna, but as I just said to Lizzie, it’s what I would do if I had the power.
I believe some of us are gettng it, but not enough of us to make a difference.
I’m with you my Sister, like the Angels up above driving us all. One spirit at a time spreading the simple thought of LOVE. Slowly but surely, enough of kindred spirits banding together will get us there.

Donna’s got it right…too many don’t care and not enough care enough to do anything about it.
What would I do? I believe this world has the exact resources we need to live happily and comfortably, everything is just out of balance ie. the rich get richer and the poor get poorer…
Poverty is what I’d try and change, get the balance right, though doubt any of us could do it!
I agree that Donna’s got it right and I agree with you too. But even if just one person tries to make someone else’s life better, it’s a step in the right direction. Unfortunately there just aren’t enough people trying. . .

I agree. It starts with small changes. Start with the small, work up to the big. Who knows what kind of a different world you’ll have at the end?
