It’s Day 8 of #BlogFlash2012 and today’s prompt is Relaxing. In today’s busy world there’s precious little time to just sit back and relax and that’s what prompted me to write this. I hope you enjoy it.
Arriving at her room, Genna unpacked her case. She’d opened the huge sliding doors leading to her balcony and gazed at the turquoise sea and glistening sand just beyond the swimming pool.
She changed into her bikini, packed her beach bag and left her room, locking the door behind her.
The hot sand almost burnt her feet as she strolled to a vacant sunbed. She slathered on factor twenty sun cream, sank onto the bed and grabbed her book.
As the sun warmed her skin she began to unwind for the first time in months. Her relaxing vacation had begun.

I got dibs on that hammock! Another RELAXING moment for me Carlie, thanks again. :0)
Hi Donna,
Ok on the dibs, but me first! Lol. Glad you found it relaxing!

Yes, time to relax. A GREAT topic, Carlie. That’s what I plan on doing from now on. Enjoy the day ✿
Hi MG,
Thanks! Yes, you need to relax more even if it for only half an hour a day! Thanks hun, you too! xo

Hi Andrea,
Only if I can come too!
Lol
A great use of the prompt, Carlie! Despite a frantic day I could actual feel myself winding down just reading!
Hi Terri,
First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!
Thanks for your comments. I’m glad it had the desired effect on virtually everyone that’s read it, but especially you after the day you’ve had!

OH, this was a fun read and the photos were wonderful!! Now I want to grab my book bab and run off to the beach!! LOVE the kitty in the hammock photo too!!
Hi Ruth,
Thank you – I’m glad you enjoyed it. I have to admit, when I’d written it and read it through that’s exactly what I wanted to do, but then I looked out the window and saw the grey clouds . . .
The kitty in the hammock was a chance find and I just couldn’t resist it!
